Monel 400 Alloy Product Introduction:

Monel 400 alloy, also known as UNS N04400, is a nickel-copper alloy renowned for its excellent combination of high strength and outstanding corrosion resistance in a wide range of environments. It consists predominantly of Nickel (Ni) and Copper (Cu), with small amounts of Iron (Fe), Manganese (Mn), Carbon (C), and Silicon (Si).

  • Chemical Composition: Nickel provides about 63% of the alloy's composition, with Copper contributing 28-34%. The remaining elements enhance specific properties, ensuring optimal performance.

  • Mechanical Properties: Monel 400 alloy exhibits impressive tensile strength ranging from 550 MPa to 800 MPa (annealed condition) and yield strength between 240 MPa and 450 MPa (0.2% offset).

  • Physical Properties: It has a density of 8.80 g/cm³ and a melting point between 1300°C and 1350°C, making it suitable for high-temperature applications.
